No matter where we go in this world
Dreams follow us around,
One person army indeed will suffice,
But a team brings in soul to the dream.
And life to the task!!
Growing up it also seemed to me that ‘I, Me, etc.’ are the only attributes one should use, the competitive nature in turns does make us develop a little green monster of jealousy. We forget in this process what it is to rely on others, to have a village, to have an army of people to love, nurture and grow with.
One person army, the angry young people attitude, the feeling of being independent and having a belief that it is just us, and only us. To live in the world where we with time develop the believe that no will understand our feelings, our plans, our ideology. Unknowingly we develop this point of view that it’s us vs the world and not us with a village but just our conscious. The thought is accommodated with a feeling that no one is going to understand us or even our ideology, the thought process behind the plan.
Being a part of this organization changed this point of view rather it brought over the idea of what exactly is a team. The feeling of family, the feeling of someone having your back and not letting go of it all, not letting us fail. Being our strength and stature in every time helping us to hold our head high. For even a humongous company to work it requires a salesforce, even the though the company belongs to a few individuals, but each employee has a major chunk of involvement starting from the peon to the CEO it is a chain reaction even if one part of it is misfunctioning the rest are there to cover it up. Uplifting each one with now and then healthy competition it brings out the best in each of the member.
Spreading smiles people’s foundation society sets the line straight in inculcating the best attitude of teamwork. The magic that one sees in the task and events organized goes long back to people volunteering for the events, deciding on to committees and then making a team.
Sounds exhausting but most certainly it is not, rather the tasks are simplified as everyone knows that their team members know what she/he is assigned to do, there is no space of doubt or superior feeling. The point of questioning where the other members know what to do , or to show the other member down in case they are not familiar with let’s a say a certain software to use. Team works starts a learning experience as there are member from all over age groups. Learning from the experience of others and the experienced learning from the newer generations, it helps in growth of feeling while keeping the values all around.
All year around we have many events which presents themselves as pristine example for developing teamwork spirit. Let’s roll and see the various events we conduct through the years.
1. Khwahishein – Fund raising event
An open mic event conducted each year with the aim to raise money for all our other endeavors. Events filled with fun and frolic, along with teaching from experience of people from different occupations. Taking up the stage with poems, couplets, stories and songs to dance on. Started many years back the story of its success has only grown through the years.
2. Project Pehchan – Winds below the wings
Another arm of our program is the essence of life being brought towards us. In the face of difficulties how hope shines through. With the fire within to work the best out of it one has to believe that faith will change holding on to that feeling one has the option to either live through it or win through it.
We have supported many children to make a living for themselves through it, taking the example of daughter of an acid attack survivor who worked her way through ‘dangling hopes’, another child who draws like the goddess of art is imbibed in his hands.
We help in commercializing their work finding them customers and helping them manage the money.
3. Happiness in togetherness
Birthday for a person is so special a day that it is magic having the feeling of family to create and cherish those memories of how they are going to create an event just for them. Where they are the person of importance everything revolves around them getting them to have a feeling of family.
Here are just a few to mention from the long list of events and fundraisers which conclude or to say the main thought behind it is to bring smiles to all and everyone around, from animal food drive, to COVID relief drive, etc.
In this world of chaos and hate,
Let’s lend a hand to be light bringers,
To be the mascot of love and faith,
To be a part of family, a team!
